Where is the original Wishing Chair?
The Wishing Chair Foundation takes its name from a local stone-carved seat at Tullan Strand Beach, in Donegal, Ireland.
A rough-hewn stone seat, it is associated with local folklore and tradition. It is adjacent to the Fairy Bridges, a very popular area on the Wild Atlantic Way for centuries. According to legend, the wanderer who makes a wish at the Wishing Chair will return to the same place again in later life, safe and well.
